The Perfect Match sample itinerary

Golf and whisky – an enduring relationship. As two of Scotland’s most celebrated exports, golf and whisky have long complimented each other. Not only did us Scots give the game of golf to the globe, we gave those who took it up a dram to warm the heart and revitalise post-round.

Have you ever thought about taking a tour of Scotland combining Golf & Whisky? Well, let us break it down into some mini tours and give you a sample of the different Trail Guides we offer, starting with The Perfect match in the Scottish Highlands.

DAY 1

Head North up the A9 and on route why not stop off at Pitlochry GC for a quick game to break up the journey (trust us it’s worth it!) Check into the Royal Golf Hotel in Dornoch. It’s virtually on the golf course!

DAY 2

Kick things off with a tee time at one of the world’s greatest courses, Royal Dornoch. After golf, why not head to Clynelish Distillery to sample their fantastic whisky.

DAY 3

A morning of whisky tasting at Glenmorangie, just a short drive south of Dornoch. an afternoon tee time at Golspie GC is a great addition. Part links, part parkland, it’s a gem of a course.

ON THE JOURNEY HOME

Check out hotel and head South for a tee time at Fortrose & Rosemarkie, a wonderful links course set out along a peninsula which provides 360 views of the Highlands. if you have time for another whisky tour, check out Balblair Distillery which is fairly close by.

There are so many other great courses in the Highlands like Brora, Castle Stuart and Inverness GC to name just a few. So why not mix your itinerary up and sample all that the Highlands has to offer with it’s Golf & Whisky.
