Crail Golfing Society - Old Tom Trails
The story of Crail begins in 1786, when 11 gentlemen met at the local inn and established a golfing society - one of the very first clubs in the world and a name that still stands today. Today, Crail is home to two courses; The older 'Balcomie' links, laid out by Old Tom Morris around the turn of the century, and the newer addition by Gil Hanse - 'Craighead'.
There's a lot more to the story of this quintessential Scottish members club than just stunning views, and two great courses. Crail has always been a trailblazer in the game, it's a forward looking club that's also proud of its history. We hope you enjoy the film, and to anyone thinking of a golf trip to St Andrews and Fife, Crail should certainly be on that itinerary!
