Scotland's Less Obvious Season 2 ep.1 - Southerness
On the peaceful shores of the beautiful Solway coast lies Southerness Golf Course, one of Scotland’s finest links courses. Designed by MacKenzie Ross, and built in 1947 it’s a true championship links course amidst the natural beauty and character of this tract of wild land by the sea.
The terrain is level allowing for easy walking with no hills to climb. Being totally remote from large centres of population you really are getting away from it all on the beautiful Solway Coast. The feeling is enhanced by the well considered course design which means that players are seldom aware of others on the course.
It really does feel like millionaires golf, so make sure and stop off in you are heading further North from South of the border. You certainly wont be disappointed.
