The Un/official Golf Guide to Scotland EP. 3

The Open Championship started here at Prestwick Golf Club - where Old Tom Morris laid out the original 12 holes and cared for the course. He lived nearby, in what is now a Boots Pharmacy. Episode 3: Ayrshire local Rachel McQueen joins up with Erik Anders Lang and the crew to play Prestwick Golf Club, the birthplace of The Open Championship.

Prestwick's clubhouse serves as a museum for the early days of The Open and houses original scorecards, trophies, and history books. The most famous 19th hole in golf also lives in the town of Prestwick: The Red Lion. It's the actual birthplace of The Open Championship - where the idea of finding the best golfer in all the land first came to mind. After a short walk down to the golf club, it was decided.
