Ferry Golf sample itinerary

Remarkably, Scotland has over 900 offshore islands, most of which are to be found in four main groups – Shetland, Orkney, and the Hebrides, sub-divided into the Inner Hebrides and Outer Hebrides. Fortunately for the golfer who is prepared to go on a voyage of discovery and ‘ferry hop’, there are plentiful golf opportunities to be enjoyed on the islands’ fairways.

Have you ever thought about taking a ferry golf tour of Scotland? Or perhaps parts of it? Well, let us break it down into some mini tours and give you a sample. Lets get things started over on the west coast with a trip to the Isle of Arran.

Day 1

Check in at The Douglas Hotel in Brodick. Tee time at Brodick GC, a charming parkland course nestled along the shoreline.

Day 2

Morning tee time at Shiskine Golf & Tennis Club, One of the most unique courses in the world. A 12 hole links course that is quite simply brilliant! 12 Holes doesn’t take long so after your round why not pop along to Machrie Bay Golf Course, a fun little 9 hole links.

Day 3

Morning tee time at the 9 hole Corrie GC, nestled up in the hills with absolutely incredible views. If the clubhouse is closed simply pop your greenfee into the honesty box.

Of course you still have plenty of time for another round so why not take a short drive to either Lamlash GC or Whiting bay on the south East corner of the Island.

Arran has 7 Courses to experience. It’s a great fun long weekend away and you wont be disappointed.
