Get Crafty sample itinerary

Scotland’s breweries are dotted across the map much like the nation’s golf courses. For the visitor to Scotland, they are a dynamic duo – mouth-watering golf with excellent beer to wash it down with during your tales at the 19th hole.

Have you ever thought about taking tour of Scotland’s Golf and Craft Beers/Gin? Or perhaps parts of it? Well, let us break it down into some mini tours and give you a sample. Let’s take a look on to the south East coast, specifically in the East Lothian region.

DAY 1

Check into the Lodge at Craigielaw or the Marine North Berwick, two of East Lothian’s most thought after golf accommodation spots. Morning tee time at Gullane No.1, host of several Scottish Opens and one of Scotland’s finest links. Head back to your hotel for an evening in the bar trying the different craft beers available.

DAY 2

Morning tee time at Dunbar GC followed by some afternoon or evening craft beers at Winton Brewery’s Station Yard micro pub in Dunbar.

DAY 3

A round at Craigielaw followed by a tour of Scotland’s oldest working brewery, Belhaven Brewery. Throughout your visit, you’ll discover the history of Scotland’s oldest working brewery dating back to 1719, learn the brewing process and even get your hands on the locally sourced malt!

DAY 4

Finish off your short break with a round over the oldest course in the world Old Musselburgh Links. 9 holes of history, why not play a round with hickories!

East Lothian better known as Scotland’s Golf coast has 21 courses including Muirfield, North Berwick and Gullane. It’s also the cradle of golf where the game was said to be born.
