Scotland's Less Obvious sample itinerary

Scotland’s Less Obvious are those venues that perhaps sit in the shadow of siblings, go under the radar or lack the profile enjoyed by bigger names. However, that takes nothing away from their quality, value for money and experience. Booking a tee time is also usually less onerous a task than at over-subscribed venues where tourists consistently flock.

Have you ever thought about taking a tour of Scotland’s Less Obvious? Well, let us break it down into some mini tours and give you a sample. Lets get things moving with a sample itinerary on Scotland’s Golf Coast - East Lothian.

DAY 1

Check in at Craigielaw, one of Scotland’s most welcoming golf lodgings. Morning tee time at Craigielaw, a brilliant modern links course which is out the front door.

DAY 2

Morning tee time at Gullane No.2. No.1 usually gets all the praise but a round at No.2 will surpass your expectations. After your round head into Gullane and check out Jack White’s Hickory shop and step back in time. Retire for some evening entertainment and amazing food at Ducks. Get ready for the famous bar stool putting and try and get your name on the wall (Duck) of fame.

DAY 3

Head to Dunbar GC for your morning tee time. A wonderful links situated along a tight stretch of links land. An afternoon tee time ( with hickories) at the oldest course in the world - Musselburgh Links - The Old Course.

Time for food, The Bonnie Badger in Gullane is a great spot for lovely food and a vibrant atmosphere.

East Lothian better known as Scotland’s Golf Coast has 21 courses including Muirfield, North Berwick and Gullane. It’s also the cradle of golf where the game was said to be born.
